Trap Street is a performing arts collective based in Los Angeles. We take you on immersive adventures. We blur the lines between fiction and reality. We show you secrets you won’t find on any map.
Below are some of our past projects.
Darkness Comes Alive

Enter a world of shadowy cults and neon light, hidden in the middle of the Arts District. Based on the stunning works of renowned neon artist Lili Lakich, this genre-bending audio tour might make you question your mortality…and what lies beyond.
This audio tour of the Lili Lakich Studio is part history, part fantasy, and part choose-your-own-adventure…and only you can decide what to believe. Pop in your headphones and follow one of three narrators, all of whom believe there’s more to this studio than neon artwork.
Darkness Comes Alive was produced in 2018. A new edition, with an additional chapter, was planned for early 2020, but cancelled due to the pandemic.

Trap Street Offers a Glimpse Into Hidden Magic
Nautapocalypse

Gravity-bending earthquakes, mysterious submarines, and a live radio broadcast. Let's pull together to drink and dance our way through the chaos. It's a party for the end of the world...if you believe it.
Nautapocalypse was produced in 2017 at Iron Triangle Brewery (RIP) in Los Angeles.
Development

Trap Street has hosted workshops and table readings of new plays, audio dramas, and screenplays. We've also held artist retreats, with writing and performance exercises, to build our community and continue to grow as artistic collaborators.
Connections
Much of Trap Street's work grew directly out of Living Room Playmakers, a Chicago-based theatre collective that writes plays for unusual spaces, and throws great parties. The work continues with Second Site, which plans to expand programming to Los Angeles.
